O.K here’s the boring (but important) bit:

Payments and Deposits:

When you choose us to make your wedding cake we ask you to pay a

dposit upto 50%, which is non-refundable. This, apart from securing

the date, enables us to start on any sugar decorations, purchase any

special items needed or, in the case of our traditional fruitcake, start

baking! The final balance is payable 4 weeks before the day of your

wedding.

Deposits may be returned depending on exceptional circumstances,

this is down to communication between our customers and

Amayesing Cakes, Celebration cakes will be treated as the above, any

order taken and not  cancelled before the work has began will be

subject to full payment. Emails or social media confirms orders for

our goods and services.

Cupcakes and cookies must be paid for in full at the time of booking

due to the shorter lead-time. This payment is non-refundable.

How to pay:

We accept payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer (the latter is

our preferred method). We are not yet able to accept payment by

credit or debit card.

Cancellations/Refunds:

If you have to cancel your order we reserve the right to retain the

deposit.

Deposits may be returned depending on exceptional circumstances,

this is down to communication between our customers and

Amayesing Cakes.

If cancellation of an order takes place we reserve the right to retain

your non refundable 50% deposit. If cancellation takes place less

than 7 days before the event then we reserve the right to seek 100%

of the order value.

If your wedding is postponed to a later date we will try to move your

booking as long as we have the new date free. If not this will be

treated as a cancellation.

Design and Alterations:

After your consultation we’ll send you the design and quotation for

your cake; it is your responsibility to read through and check all the

details fully. Should you require any changes to the design, (even the

smallest of details), please let us know before paying your deposit so

that we can update the design and send you a revised quotation if

necessary.

The design is binding once your deposit is paid and any subsequent

alterations may incur a charge.

We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do

not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders/delivery

requests.

Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory

rights relating to faulty goods.

Viewing

Please note cakes with sponge tiers may not be completed until the

day prior to/or of the celebration to ensure the cakes are as fresh as

possible, so please prearrange viewings of any wedding cakes

ordered.  No liability will be taken by the company for any omissions

or errors on wedding cakes if they are not viewed by the bride prior

to the wedding

We have tried to keep the terms and conditions easy to understand,

please contact us if you require any assistance.

Delivery:

We offer personal delivery and set-up of your cake as part of our

wedding service, however we can only carry out a limited number of

deliveries on any particular day so advanced booking is highly

recommended especially during peak wedding season (May-Sept).

Orders and deliveries are taken on a first come first served basis.

When chosing a venue please bare in mind location and road

conditions, country roads off the beaten track do have inferior road

surfaces which can cause vibrations or jolts to cakes. We have always

taken great care driving without any problems.

In the event of any unplanned incident we will not be liable for any

other costs towards the wedding.

Collection:

If you choose to collect your wedding cake from us we will provide

you with assembly and storage instructions where required and your

cakes will be packed in sturdy boxes to assist transportation.

We will ask you to check your cake before we box it. Please note that

once collected from us you accept full responsibility for your cake,

Amayesing Cakes will not be liable for any damage to your cake once

it has left our premises.

In the event of any damage we will try and rectify this for you but

dependant of the amount of damage may incur a fee.

Cakes are best in the boot of a car where it is flat, using a rubber

mesh to prevent any sliding is advised but not essential. When

driving, slow down when going around corners or round abouts.

If your cake is highly decorated we strongly advise that you allow us

to deliver and set up at your venue.

Please ensure a time is made for collection, we do deliveries and if

this is not confirmed you may be disappointed that there may be no

one in.

Guarantees and Returns

Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory

rights relating to faulty goods. For further information about your

statutory rights contact your local authority, Trading Standards

Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

Any refunds for returned items will be made after the goods have

been returned. Cakes, or part of cakes, must be returned within 1

day to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the

complaint.

Setup at Venues

If we are asked to provide a setup service we require that the venue

has the table in the correct location ready for placement of the cake.

Some designs are not intended to be moved without being

deconstructed so please speak to the venue co ordinator to make

provisions for when we arrive.

Images are provided to help select products. Due to our products

being hand crafted these may not reflect exactly the product you

receive.

Complaints are very rare and so we take them very seriously. Some

complaints may require further investigation and an immediate

refund may not always be possible. The maximum refund we offer is

the value of the cake and delivery depending on nature of fault.

Further compensation is not available.

These terms and conditions apply to your order/delivery request. We

may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not

assume that the same terms will apply to future orders/delivery

requests.

Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory

rights relating to faulty goods.
